Pete Buttigieg's hatred of women
Children suffer for men's sexual "freedom." Either they are murdered in the womb or they grow up without a father.
When Secretary of Transportation and notorious liar Pete Buttigieg said that "men are also more free in a country where we have a president who stands up for things like access to abortion care," it was probably the most important revelation about the "sexual revolution" we have ever had.
The "sexual revolution" promoted by feminists has been a complete and total failure for women. The "sexual revolution" is and has always been about men avoiding responsibility. Hookup culture harms women while men are free to do as they please. Did you father a child when having a one-night stand? Her problem. She should have been on the pill, and now she can have an abortion.
Children suffer for men's sexual "freedom." Either they are murdered in the womb or they grow up without a father. This creates a cycle of generational poverty, as families with only a mother are statistically much more likely to be poor than families with the father in the home. (Please spare me anecdotes that "disprove" my case. Something does not have to be universally true to be statistically true. There are always outliers to any statistical reality.)
I was born after the "sexual revolution" had claimed cultural and legal victory, but some of the old morality remained. There was a time in my lifetime when men openly admitting that they "pump and dump" would have been subject to scorn. They are deadbeat dads and losers, while real men would step up and care for the children they fathered. Now, this is seen as a symbol of pride in the pagan "manosphere." These men think they are against feminism, but they are actually fulfilling the feminist dream.
We need to reject Buttigieg's misogynistic vision of sexual anarchy. Republicans, unfortunately, will be hard-pressed to offer an opposite vision with Donald Trump leading the party. Had we nominated Ron DeSantis or Mike Pence, we would be able to more effectively oppose Buttigieg's misogyny. This does not mean that Republicans running for lower office cannot use this issue to explain to single women why the Republican vision is better for them than the "sexual revolution." Trump, unfortunately, will make it more difficult to make that case than it should be.
