The infinite grace and forgiveness of God
Do not blaspheme by denying the power of Jesus' sacrifice and the power of the Holy Spirit.
After the Apostle Paul warns the church at Corinth that fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, effeminate, abusers of themselves with mankind, thieves, covetous, drunkards, revilers and extortioners will not enter Heaven, he follows it up with an unbelievably encouraging note: "Such were some of you." Not are. WERE. He reminds the Corinthians that they are washed, sanctified and justified "in the name of the Lord Jesus."
This is an astonishing statement. The Christian faith is not for people who are righteous. Jesus did not come to call them. As He explained in Luke 5, the healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. That is why He came to call sinners to repentance. Christians praise and serve God because we know what he saved us from. Corinth was a city teeming with all manner of wickedness, and many of the most wicked had repented and were worshiping Jesus.
This is why we should totally reject the self-righteous Manosphere's constant condemnation of women, especially women who have sinned sexually. I have seen many posts about former porn stars (prostitutes) who have repented and turned to Jesus Christ. (Note some of these "headlines" floating around are fabricated, sadly.) The cynical "Manosphere" guys always have the same response: "The final form of the hoe is always a Christian woman. Don't fall for it. They sow their wild oats in their 20's and repent in their 30's after they have hit the wall."
These bitter men think far too small. They do not recognize the immeasurable love and grace that would cause the Creator of the Universe to willingly die on the Cross at the hands of wicked men. But they also have a small and limited view of their own sin and depravity. A man who knows the full extent of his own sin and how much he has been forgiven would never disparage the repentance of a sexually promiscuous woman or online prostitute.
No, this does not mean there are not earthly consequences for sin. Men would be wise to have reservations about marrying a former prostitute. But forgiveness and repentance are real. When the bitter, woman-hating "Manosphere" guys deny any chance of real repentance, they are committing blasphemy by denying the power of Jesus' sacrifice and the power of the Holy Spirit. They deny the plain teaching of 1 Corinthians 6 that I mentioned above. They set themselves up as the ultimate judge, which is idolatry. Do not do this.
Always remember that Jesus taught us in Luke 15:7 that there is more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repents than 99 who need no repentance. Above all else, we should remember that we were wicked rebels against God who richly deserve eternal damnation in Hell Fire, and the only hope we have is in His unmerited grace.
