A quick note on catastrophizing

Blaming only one side is willfully myopic or dishonest

Over at the New York Times, David French writes this:

When you ask right-leaning voters to abandon Trump, you’re asking them to empower a political party they view as brainwashed, hateful and racist. You’re asking them to empower a political party they view as extreme. That’s the source of Trump’s strength in a general election.

But by the data he provided in his own newsletter, the same is true of Democrats. Pretending that the negative partisanship is only a problem among "MAGA Republicans" is either willfully myopic or dishonest.
