Be a voice for the voiceless at the 2026 Rally for Life
Abortion is (mostly) illegal in Indiana, but there is much more work to be done. The slaughter continues in other states.
When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, it was a great moment for human rights. The killing of little ones made in God's image is no longer protected by our federal government. It is tragic it had to take 49 years to get to that point, but I will always be grateful to President Trump for appointing 3 of the 5 Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe.
But while the Indiana General Assembly acted quickly to protect babies in the Hoosier State, there is much more work to be done. The slaughter continues in other states, and abortion mills in Illinois are advertising their "services" to Hoosier women. As long as babies are being "legally" killed, we must speak in defense of human rights and protecting innocent human life.
Locally, we have another policy matter: Both the Bloomington City Council and the Monroe County Council vote every year to give our tax money to Planned Parenthood, which operated an abortion mill for years on South College Avenue, and continues to send women out of state to have their babies killed. The Bloomington City Council even voted to spend tax dollars to pay for out of state travel to have babies killed in other states. If the County Council and City Council continues this (and they have shown no sign they will stop) the Indiana General Assembly should act to stop this abominable use of our tax dollars.
Please come to the 2026 Rally for Life on January 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Monroe County Courthouse to stand with us as we protect human life and call on our local government to stop spending our tax dollars in such a wicked manner.
Note: I submitted a shorter version of this (199 words) as a letter to the editor. We will see if it gets printed.
