Biden's culture war proves he has no interest in unity
With the stroke of a pen on his first day in office, President Joe Biden abolished sports for women and girls and took away women's basic privacy rights. After being the running mate on a ticket that made an alleged Republican "war on women" a primary campaign theme, Biden erased well over 160 million of women. Biden proved that he was not interested in "unity" at all. Instead, he plans to wage a culture war throughout his time in the White House, forcing radical views on Americans who disagree with him.
When Biden announced this policy, he said this:
Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.
This is a bold-faced lie. There is not one single child in America who is being denied access to any of these things, and Joe Biden knows it. Children who are biologically, genetically, and anatomically male can use the locker room and bathroom for males, and play on the males' sports teams. The same goes for children who are biologically, genetically, and anatomically female.
The biological reality is this: Males are bigger, faster, stronger and more durable than females and have a genetic advantage in sports. (Yes, I know there are exceptions, but exceptions do not invalidate a general truth.) The reason we have separate sports leagues for women and girls is to allow them to compete without being dominated by men and boys. That was the whole point of Title IX mandates for equal access to sports. Putting males on females' teams puts those females at an unfair disadvantage.
What is worse is forcing males into bathrooms and locker rooms with women and girls. Biden has decreed that by law, teenage girls must be forced to disrobe in front of young men. This is not just wrong. This is perverted. Biden has made teenage girls and women more vulnerable to sexual harassment and sexual abuse. The hypocrisy of this policy in the age of the "Me Too" movement is astonishing.
Biden does not have the authority to radically "reinterpret" existing federal law on sex discrimination to include "gender identity." That is a legislative act that should be passed by Congress, not unilaterally implemented by the President via executive fiat. Radical "gender identity" agenda items have been introduced in Congress, and have repeatedly failed to pass. Biden is now making an end run around the legislative process, showing disrespect for the Constitution and the rule of law.
Biden pursuing liberal policies does not disprove his stated desire for unity. A liberal policy agenda is expected. Biden has gone far beyond that. The fact that Biden is waging a culture war and forcing radical views on private matters on the whole country does disprove his stated desire for unity. Biden has proven that he does not want unity. He demands submission to a radical agenda.
