Erasing women to advance a radical agenda
There is no such thing as a "birthing person." That is a made-up term designed to advance a political agenda. Those who give birth to human babies are women, not "birthing persons." This is only the latest in a long line of demeaning and dehumanizing terms created by the radical Left to dehumanize women and reduce them to body parts and bodily functions, such as calling them "vagina owners" or "menstruators." The radical Left has even taken to renaming body parts with especially childish terms like "front hole."
While they mutilate the language, the radical Left is also gaslighting those who notice it. Look at the responses to Ann Romney's Tweet about this controversy:
"You're making up an issue where there is none."
"Culture war republicans get really up in arms about such random stuff."
"This is a non-issue. How about focusing on the many REAL issues we have?"
"Always the manufactured drama."
The radicals do something that is, well, radical, and then blame conservatives for noticing it. This really is a loathsome, dishonest and hypocritical tactic. We must not back down in the face of the backlash.
One of the ways the radical Left is waging culture war is to mutilate our language. The reason they do this is that they know language is a powerful weapon, and by getting us to use anti-science, political terms, they will move a long way to either changing opinions or forcing conformity with their agenda. This is why Twitter forbids referring to "transgender" people with the pronouns that correctly match their biological, genetic and anatomical sex. We must not surrender to this, especially when the language is demeaning and dehumanizing to our wives, daughters, sisters and mothers.
