Joe Biden's vaccine mandate must be stopped
President Biden's rebellion against constitutional limits on his power must not be allowed to stand.

To the Editor:
I got my second shot of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine at the end of April. I am a supporter of the vaccines and I encourage those who have not been vaccinated and have not have had the virus to get vaccinated. Herd immunity is out best to permanently put the pandemic behind us. Even as the virus becomes endemic, the risk of death or severe illness for all but those in high-risk groups will be greatly reduced.
But while I support more vaccinations, I oppose President Biden's nationwide vaccine mandate. The federal government does not have the constitutional authority to implement a nationwide vaccine mandate. The Tenth Amendment actually does exist, and the rule of law actually does matter. President Biden's rebellion against constitutional limits on his power must not be allowed to stand.
Even if the federal government had this power, it should never be implemented by administrative fiat. Massive policy changes like this one should be voted on and passed by Congress, not by an administrative agency at the behest of the President. Sadly, this is just another example of Congress abdicating both its authority and its responsibility to the administrative state. This must be stopped and reversed.
