To the Editor:

In its 2019 annual report, All Options Pregnancy Resource Center (a national organization) reported $1,330,829 of income and $761,989 of spending, an enormous budget surplus. Whole AOPRC suffered a revenue loss the next year, they still ended the year with $703,835 in assets, according to their own report.

Is this really something that the Bloomington City Council should be funding? If government is going to give money to private charities, that money should go to truly local charities who would actually benefit from funding instead of a wealthy national organization like "All Options."

The organization's Facebook page proudly proclaims "Let's fund some abortions!" https://bit.ly/334eTsc

They mean what they say. The 2019 fiscal report claims AOPRC "gave $57,507 in funding to 251 clients in Indiana; a 47% increase in people served since last year!" That program ramped up the next year, spending $105,064 to pay for 414 more abortions in Indiana. Is it any wonder that the number of abortions increased dramatically in Monroe County while abortions were falling overall across Indiana?

This is not something our tax dollars should support. We should not force taxpayers to fund an organization that pays for babies to be killed. Please reject this request.
