Looking back at "deaths of despair"

The fact that policymakers ignored warnings about "deaths of despair" should be a mark of shame on them.

Everyone knew in 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, that locking down the economy would result in increased "deaths of despair." Here is a look back at what I said about it back then.

Warnings in 2020:

Obviously Hollingsworth is right about opening the economy

Can we please stop assuming bad motives?

Unfair attacks are not a good argument for lockdowns

All of life is risk, including responding to COVID-19

Two years later:

COVID-19 fearmongers should apologize
