President Biden's legacy of missed opportunity
History would view President Biden differently had he charted a moderate course.
The story of President Biden's only term in office will be one of missed opportunity. After the chaos of the previous four years, the constant trolling and taunting and unprofessional behavior from the White House, President Biden could have told the crazies in his party to stand down.
President Biden could have said that men are not women and he will not go along with the far Left in his party pushing a radical transgender agenda. He could have approved the Keystone XL pipeline, which was set to create a number of good-paying jobs and further secure American energy independence with a safer method of transporting oil that labor unions supported. With COVID-19 on the decline and vaccines available, he could have pulled back on government action and not not tried to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine on every single American. He could have pardoned President Trump and ended the weaponization of government.
In short, President Biden could have been what he promised to be in 2020: An old school moderate Democrat. But after winning the 2020 election, both President Biden and his party misread the nation's political mood and saw this as a mandate. President Biden won the popular vote by 7 million votes, but 5 million of that was running up the score in California. There was never a national mandate. So he allowed the crazies in his party to run rampant, disgracing the White House with a man showing of his surgically constructed "breasts" while a topless woman showed off her double mastectomy scars.
President Biden should have been a transitional President, especially with his obviously declining health. This, combined with pulling the party back to the center the way President Clinton did in the 1990's, would have history see him in a much better light. Instead, he selfishly decided to run for re-election. Then President Trump crushed Biden in the first debate, leading to a desperate and unprecedented midstream switch to Kamala Harris. President Trump exploited the situation by running as a center-right Northeastern Republican. He won the election in large part because Democrats had been captured by crazies and people wanted to right the ship.
Just do not be crazy. Do not overshoot your mandate. It really is that simple.
