Reproductive freedom does not include domestic violence
Of course a man who drugs his pregnant girlfriend against her will should be harshly punished. This should not be a debate.
The Fake News Media is openly fretting about how punishing a man who drugged his girlfriend without her knowledge or consent is a step toward taking away "reproductive freedom." This is what "feminism" has come to - defending abusive men who drug women. The "man" in question "put mifepristone, an abortion-inducing medication, into cookies and a beverage that he then gave to his pregnant girlfriend."
Do pro-aborts and the Fake News Media realize just how dangerous it is for a woman to be slipped a drug to cause a miscarriage? Do they not realize that a medically-induced miscarriage, without the supervision of a doctor, could cause severe and potentially life-threatening health problems for the woman who is drugged? She could start hemorrhaging and, without knowledge of what is causing the bleeding, precious time would be lost before the doctors trying save her life would even know how to treat her.
Many times over the years, I have railed against the "all or nothing" cult mentality that has infected our politics and culture. When someone embraces "all or nothing," there can be no compromise, no nuance and certainly no dissent from the approved narrative. In this case. the abortion pill is good and no use of it can ever be bad. But it actually is possible to harshly punish a man who drugs his pregnant girlfriend against her will and puts her life in danger while at the same time defending the "right" of women to use medication or surgical abortion. There is no reason this cannot be a "pro-choice" position.
Do I really have to say it for the trillionth time? No, but I will say it anyway. This is what a cult looks like. If your primary concern with prosecuting an abusive boyfriend is how it might damage women's "reproductive freedom," you are part of a cult. Harshly punishing a man who drugged his girlfriend without her knowledge or consent does not in any way damage "reproductive freedom." Instead, it actually defends reproductive freedom.
No one is punishing the "use" of the abortion pill. What is being punished is an abusive man who drugged his girlfriend without her knowledge or consent, putting her health and possibly her life in danger. What is being punished is an abusive man violently taking away the reproductive freedom of a woman who wanted to keep her baby. Pretending that punishing domestic violence is as assault on "reproductive freedom" is not just fake news, it is a damnable lie.
