Calling off a retaliatory strike
Way back in 2019, President Trump did something only he can do: He famously called off a retaliatory strike on Iran because he decided 150 fatalities was disproportionate to Iran shooting down an unmanned spy drone. See here and here and here for more.
No one else could have done that. President Bush would have went along with the foreign policy establishment and would not have questioned the need for a fatal counter-strike. President Clinton, President Obama and President Biden, even if they truly felt that it was disproportionate, would have feared being seen as "weak" and would have avoided the criticisms of Republicans by authorizing the retaliatory strike. Only Trump would have gone his own way and canceled the strike, while avoiding any public perception of weakness against the Muslim terrorist regime.
