The righteous acquittal of Daniel Penny
This prosecution was a (failed) cover-up of the incompetence and corruption of the Deep State.
On May 1, 2023, a violent mentally ill drug addict was terrorizing people on the New York City subway, loudly threatening violence against the passengers who were just trying to reach their destinations. His threats of violence were fully credible: Jordan Neely had a long list of crimes, including 42 prior arrests. He violently beat a 67 year old woman, breaking her nose and orbital bone. He also violently attacked a 68 year old man and attempted to kidnap a 7 year old girl.
Despite all of this, Neely was allowed to run free by the totally corrupt Deep State in New York City. On that fateful day in May 2023, Neely was ranting on the subway, declaring he was ready to die and threatening to murder fellow passengers. Then a young man stepped up and put Neely in a submission hold. Daniel Penny restrained Neely until law enforcement could arrive, and Neeley died as a result of the drugs in his system and medical complications.
This was not manslaughter, and it certainly was not murder. Penny had absolutely no intent to cause death. Those claiming this was a "murder" are either liars or hysterical, and should not be taken seriously. The ones who know better are beneath contempt and, given Scripture's warning in Revelation 21:8 about what happens to liars, should be absolutely terrified of God's holy wrath.
The prosecution of Daniel Penny was an injustice and a crime. A man protected innocent people, including women and children, from a violent criminal who the Deep State had allowed to run free and terrorize the city. But it was even worse than that. This prosecution was a (failed) cover-up of the incompetence and corruption of the Deep State. Had Alvin Bragg done his job and fulfilled his oath of office, Neeley would have been safely behind bars and would still be alive today. Alvin Bragg murdered Jordan Neeley.
Penny is safe from prosecution, but will now face endless frivolous civil claims from shyster attorneys. He will never be able to live a fully normal life, and his safety will always be compromised. He should get at least an eight figure settlement from New York City, but a civil judgment is not nearly enough. The minute he takes office next month, President Trump should order a civil rights investigation of the Deep State in New York City and pursue all possible criminal charges to put these corrupt officials behind bars for as long as possible. The Deep State needs to face the harshest criminal penalties possible - not just in New York City, but for every single prosecutorial abuse of power from sea to shining sea. Will Trump stand for liberty against the corruption of the Deep State?
