I am going to say this again.

There was no Facebook "data breach."

Again: There was no Facebook "data breach."

People willingly gave companies access to their profile information in order to take various "personality quizzes" and such. Which Marvel Superhero are you? Which celebrity should you date? Who would bail you out of jail? Who are your most trustworthy friends?

Each and every time you sign into one of these quizzes with Facebook, you give the operator permission to view your profile and harvest your data. Even if you can erase every single 00 and 01 from Facebook's servers these companies have your data already.

Nobody had their data collected without their explicit permission.

It is irresponsible for the Fake News Media and dishonest politicians to be talking about a phantom "data breach" that never happened.
