Trans "women" are men and will always be men
True compassion is leading people to understand they were made in the image of God, male and female, and they should not deface that image.
Alexander Pope wisely said that "Vice is a monster of so frightful mien, as to be hated needs but to be seen; Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face, we first endure, then pity, then embrace." This is a perfect example of how our society and much of our political class have embraced the lie of "transgenderism" - the religious conviction that someone born a biological man can suddenly become a "woman." We are well into the stage of "embracing" this assault on scientific facts, to the point that corporations are hiring men to cosplay as "women," pretend that they are examples of "femininity," and endorse products marketed to women.
It is one thing to argue "trans women" (who are actually men) should be treated with respect and dignity. It is another thing entirely for corporations to make men into "female" models, pretend that a man is a woman and expect their customers to go along with it. You actually can make one argument without making a much more extreme argument. As I have said many times, it does not have to be all or nothing. Brands that do this deserve every economic consequence they get from the inevitable backlash. When you openly lie to everyone to push a radical political agenda meant to destroy reality itself, you don't get to whine when you justly suffer economic loss.
There are plenty of female models who could get the jobs going to men. Maybe we should stop stealing food from their tables? What is really amusing is that radical Leftists berate Hollywood for casting actors who are not homosexual to play homosexual characters. (Including homosexual actors who are allegedly "not gay enough" to play homosexual characters.) Why would this not apply to advertising campaigns that hire men instead of women to market their products?
But yes, trans people should be treated with dignity and respect. That means calling them to repentance, and to embrace the sex God gave them. That means helping them to be comfortable in their own bodies, and not poison themselves with chemicals or surgically mutilate their bodies. Compassion is not indulging delusion or sexual fetishes. Compassion is leading people to understand they were made in the image of God, male and female, and they should not deface that image. Compassion is leading trans people to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. That compassion is far too rare these days.
