We should not be normalizing anti-Semitism
Because of the constant false accusations of "racism" from the Left, conservatives have ignored the festering racism on the Right.
I am not trying to be a "doomer" or to take the Black Pill, but we need to recognize a very basic fact: Anti-Semitism is fully normalized on social media, if not in mainstream society. Racism (especially against Blacks) is almost to the point where it is normalized on social media. We are headed to a very bad place as a society unless we start taking this seriously. It is especially important for the political Right to be unified against this kind of rancid hatred.
Let's start by grounding our anti-racism in Scripture, starting with the book of Genesis: Man is made in the image of God. God created male and female in His image. Therefore, when we hate someone for their ethnicity or their race, what we are really doing is demeaning the image of God in man. Racism is not simply a sin against your fellow man and refusing to love our neighbor as ourselves, it is a sin against God. I John 4:20 tells us we cannot love God and hate our neighbor.
If someone told me 6 years ago that racism and anti-Semitism were on the way to being fully normalized, I would have thought they were a crazy paranoid "woke" Leftist. It used to be an article of faith on the Right that "a racist is someone who is winning an argument with a liberal." Now I am the one openly saying this. People who know me should realize that is how bad it has gotten. Because of the constant false accusations of "racism" from the Left, conservatives have ignored the festering racism on the Right, which is now metastasizing and in need of chemotherapy.
What prompted this was a cartoon on X that space aliens arrive and declare faith in Jesus Christ, claiming that He visits them all the time. Puzzled as to why Earthlings were waiting for His return, they ask "What did you do?" Obviously, this was an opportunity for fools to defecate all over the replies, blaming THE JOOOOOOS. But if these fools knew anything about Scripture, they would know that we are all guilty of the blood of Christ, because it was for our sin that He sacrificed His life. If these fools knew themselves, they would know they (like me) would have been screaming "crucify Him" had they been in the crowd that horrible day.
Anti-Semites, sadly including some Christian Nationalists, love to squeal that, with a few exceptions, Jews reject Christ. But they never - and I mean NEVER - direct that same scorn at Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc., who also explicitly reject the divinity of Christ. What this demonstrates is that this is not about religion. This is about ethnic hatred of Jews, holding them up for scorn that nobody else gets - despite the fact that Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. are all a much bigger percentage of the population than Jews. This is utterly wicked. Stop it.
Racism is growing too, with increasing portrayals of Blacks as all being criminals, stupid, welfare queens, absent fathers, predators or all of the above. This is pushed by high-follower accounts on X (Twitter) without a hint of shame. The excuse is always "We're just noticing." This is less prominent than anti-Semitic hatred, because anti-Semitic hatred is sadly bipartisan. But it is a growing cancer on the Right that must be opposed.
This kind of nonsense is why I do not and have never believed in "no enemies to the Right." But I do believe it is necessary for the Right to be united - against this very racist and anti-Semitic hatred, conspiracy theories and even the "feces posting" that wears down people's defenses with "humor." I honestly do not care what Leftists do regarding racists and anti-Semites in their own ranks. The Right needs to clean up our own house, and hold the bigots on our own side accountable for the hatred they are spewing. This needs to be done not just because it will benefit the Republican Party, the conservative movement or American culture, though it will do all of those things. The is because we need to honor God and His Word.
