Yes, the slope actually is slippery
Allowing depressed teenagers to be murdered by "doctors" without parental consent should shock the conscience
When God commanded His people to not commit murder, He did not make exceptions. This means that self-murder is prohibited just as much as the unjust killing of someone else. Scripture teaches us that murder is abominable because we are made in God's image, and the New Testament doubles down on that by reminding us that we are not our own, but are bought with a price. Self-murder defaces the image of God. This is why suicide has been condemned by most of Christendom.
We often hear that the "slippery slope" is a logical fallacy, but it is not. Once a precedent for something is established, that precedent can be used to expand that thing bit by bit. Conservatives warned three decades ago that allowing assisted suicide for terminally ill people would eventually lead to assisted suicide for the mentally ill. A look north of the border proves we were right all along, and now some in Canada are even proposing allowing minors to have themselves murdered by "doctors" without the consent of their parents.
This is an absolute abomination. Allowing teenagers to be murdered under any circumstances is horrible, but the idea that a "doctor" can murder your depressed teenager without your consent should shock the conscience. This is a direct attack on the single most important aspect of parental authority and responsibility, which is protecting the lives of their children. Communists in Canada would place that authority it in the hands of the state or of "doctors" who may well have a financial incentive to recommend euthanizing a child. The destruction of the family is a key component of Communism, and this government-sponsored kidnapping and murder is another step toward that goal.
There is also basic compassion and human decency. While there is life, there is hope. How could it possibly be compassionate to allow a depressed teenager to kill himself, when he has only lived a very small portion of his life? Many (if not most) people go through dark times as a teenager, but are glad they made it through once raging hormones subside and the drama of high school is in the past.
Americans need to be careful that this poison does not seep across the border. We should pressure our state legislators to protect parental rights and protect vulnerable minors from "medical" vultures. At the federal level, the President should pressure Canada to reverse this wickedness. If President Biden will not do that, then he should be replaced by someone who will.
